We are allowed to look inside Rosalie's home with a minimalist Japan interior. She has been living in Wierden with her boyfriend Daan since February.

A LOOK INSIDE ROSALIE'S MINIMAL CHIC HOME, with Claire corner sofa in a beige fabric.

BEAUTIFUL RENTAL HOME IN THE CENTER

Rosalie is 23 years old and works at an architectural firm in Wierden. In February 2023 she moved in with her boyfriend Daan. They have a beautiful rental home in the center. “It is a new-build home so everything looked neat when we moved in. The only thing we did is a different color on the walls,” Rosalie says. The space is not big, but the high ceiling and very light beige wall color make it seem very spacious and bright.

MINIMALIST JAPANDI INTERIOR

“My interior style can best be described as minimalist and Japandi. I like stiff fabrics and plastered materials.” Rosalie's interior radiates tranquility through its minimalist style. The furniture has powerful and sleek shapes and only one color is being used, namely various shades of beige. “My interior only features earthy tones and no colors. I was kind of raised without colors because my mother is the same as me, you can also see it in our clothing style, for example,” Rosalie laughs.

COMFY SOFA IN A STIFF BEIGE FABRIC

Rosalie and Daan bought their sofa at the Room108 store Amsterdam. “We were helped by Henk. A very kind man who showed us all the models and fabrics.” In the end corner sofa Claire was opted for with an ottoman in the Lund Natural 01 fabric. “Claire is very comfortable and the low legs make the sofa look airy and not massive. When selecting the fabric, my eye immediately fell on the Lund Natural 01. It is a stiff fabric in a beige color and that was exactly what I wanted!”

INTERIOR ACCOUNT ON INSTAGRAM

“On Instagram I get questions about the sofa and the fabric every week.” Rosalie started an interior design account when they moved into the house. “As an architect, I spend a lot of time working on the exterior of buildings, but I also find the interior very interesting. I enjoy taking beautiful photos of the interior and sharing my DIY projects,” @home.byroos already has over 7,500 followers.

ATELIER CIRE

Three months ago Rosalie and Daan started their own company Atelier Ciré in their spare time. They sell the handmade concrete ciré furniture that they make together. “Daan and I are both very creative. I come up with the idea and Daan is good at carpentry, we finish the furniture with concrete ciré. Dimensions and shapes can be completely tailored to the customer's wishes because we make everything about the furniture ourselves." Concrete ciré is really a trend these days and also fits perfectly within Rosalie's interior style.
