Together with her husband Jan, children Teun and Keet, and dog Cato, Sanne has been living in a lovely home in the charming town of Son en Breugel for over eleven years. Alongside her work as a team coordinator in outpatient addiction care, she has recently been happily focusing on redecorating their home. Some time ago, Sanne and her family were ready for something new. They started looking for a different home but couldn't find a place that truly felt right. That is why they decided to change course and completely renovate their current home according to their own wishes. In this home tour, Sanne shares how she created an interior that suits her perfectly using bold choices, warm colors, and unique furniture.

Take a look inside Sanne's stylish and modern interior.

A new start in the same house

Although the basic structure of the house was already sound, after all those years it felt like it was time for a change. The entire ground floor was renovated, and at the same time, the desire arose to completely renew the interior as well. Interior design has always been a major hobby of Sanne's. That love began with refurbishing furniture and scouring thrift stores. "I always call that treasure hunting," she says with a laugh.

She still enjoys searching for unique finds, but over time she noticed that her interior was becoming increasingly cluttered. “There was all sorts of stuff piled together. Lots of beautiful items from thrift stores and Marktplaats, but it was getting busier and busier. At a certain point, I really missed the peace and quiet in the house.”

The renovation offered the perfect opportunity to start over and create an interior where tranquility and personality come together.

A cozy chic interior with a unique twist

When we ask Sanne to describe her interior style, she has to think for a moment. “Leopard chic,” she says with a laugh. She loves color, unique prints, and a subtle leopard print. A safe interior simply doesn't suit her. She prefers to describe her style as cosy chic with an eclectic twist. By combining different materials and working with a recurring color palette, an interior is created that feels calm but is simultaneously full of character.

Sanne draws inspiration mainly from her own ideas. She usually already has a clear picture of what she is looking for beforehand. Then she goes in search of the right furniture and accessories to complete the picture. “I actually find Pinterest way too overwhelming,” she says. “I often already know myself what atmosphere I want to create.”.

Love at first sight

Sanne had known Room108 for quite some time. During a stroll around Strijp-S, she regularly popped into the showroom to gather inspiration. “What I like so much about Room108 is that everything is just a little bit different. You see unique furniture and accessories there that you don't come across everywhere. I really love that.”.

Once the renovation plans were finalized, Sanne initially thought she would go for a calm, all-beige interior. “But I soon realized that it didn't actually make me happy at all,” she says. “In the furniture stores, I saw nothing but beige, and I was missing something with more character.”

The search for a sofa also went differently than expected. She had a completely different model in mind beforehand, until she met Room108 Eindhoven saw the Oriane corner sofa standing there.

“I actually just popped in for a quick look for inspiration. But then I saw the Oriane standing there, fully styled with accessories in the same colors. I thought immediately: this is it.‘ The choice ultimately fell on the corner sofa. Oriane upholstered with fabric Terranova 10, exactly as it stands in the store. From that moment on, everything fell into place, and the sofa formed the basis for the rest of the interior.

Everything perfectly balanced

It wasn't just the sofa that was selected at Room108. Sanne decided to put together virtually the entire interior in one go. The search for the dining table began with a clear wish: a sleek model that could be beautifully combined with a dining bench. Ultimately, the choice fell on the tabletop. Bordeaux immediately Mikado table leg.

Also the Daley dining bench It had been on her wish list for a while. She had seen the model online, but of course wanted to try it out herself first. "Especially with those cushions, the bench is really great," she says enthusiastically.

The dining bench is upholstered in fabric. Island Pale 200. Surrounding it are Toronto dining chairs, which create a spacious effect thanks to their open backs. They chose the color Anodic Brown for both the table and chair legs. This warm shade complements the bronze steel doors in the house perfectly, making everything form a beautiful, unified whole.

The place where everyone comes together

Although the entire interior is now exactly to their liking, the sofa remains the family's favorite spot. “We really enjoy lounging there, the four of us,” says Sanne. To create even more space, they have even ordered an extra intermediate element. This makes the seating area even more spacious and comfortable. “Then I’ll add a nice pouf later, and the living room will be completely finished.”

After the major renovation, the home finally feels exactly as she envisioned. Apart from a few minor finishing touches, everything is ready. “Some baseboards still need to be finished, and we are still waiting for the extra part of the sofa. But otherwise, it is exactly as we wanted it.”

With an interior that exudes warmth, tranquility, and character, the house feels more than ever like a place where the whole family feels at home.
