We get to take a peek inside Soraya and Remy's beautiful new-build home in Pijnacker. They have been living here for six months now with their dog and are thoroughly enjoying their new home. The location was a deliberate choice: between two major cities, with plenty of freedom, a forest around the corner for long walks, and the option to get fresh vegetables and fruit from the farmer. A place where peace and comfort come together perfectly.

Take a look inside a new-build interior

The perfect location for the family

One of the biggest advantages of the home is its location. The house is centrally located, and the family can reach the center of Eindhoven in no time. That was an important factor, both for themselves and for the children.

In addition, the house was move-in ready, which ensured they felt right at home immediately. “We are truly in love with our house,” says Janine. “I was given plenty of freedom to decorate it entirely to my own taste. Dennis focused on the renovation, while I focused on the details and choosing matching materials.”.

With a blended family and three children, it was important to create a place where everyone feels at home. A house that is not only beautiful, but also practical and comfortable.

From shell to warm home

Because the house was delivered as a shell, Soraya and Remy were able to start from scratch. Having previously lived in a new-build apartment, they now knew exactly what they did and didn't want. “During construction, we immediately opted for an extension, but otherwise, we wanted to take our time figuring things out and tackling everything ourselves,” says Soraya. This resulted in a home where the layout is fully tailored to their own wishes and lifestyle.

While their previous interior revolved mainly around black and beige, Soraya and Remy wanted to take a softer approach this time. The foundation consists of natural shades and materials: beige, wood, warm brown tones, and subtle green accents combine to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. Their interior style? It defies categorization. “It is actually a combination of everything we find beautiful. A bit of Japandi, country, and hotel chic.” It is precisely this mix of styles that gives the interior a personal touch.

Looking for the perfect seating

During their search for furniture, Soraya and Remy visited various home furnishing stores for inspiration. At Woonmall Alexandrium, they spontaneously stepped inside. Room108 Rotterdam inside, and that's when everything fell into place. The biggest challenge? Seating comfort. “Because of our significant height difference, it was important to us that we both sit really comfortably on our new sofa and dining chairs.” At Room108 Rotterdam, they were helped by Vera, who took ample time to think along with them. “Vera drew up the ideal layout for us, helped us think about the furniture, and gave honest advice on fabrics and colors.” Virtually the entire interior was ultimately put together at Room108. The advantage of that? All the furniture, fabrics, and colors could be perfectly coordinated.

Sofa Eva as an absolute eye-catcher

Some choices feel right immediately. That was also the case with the Eva sofa. “When we walked into the store, we saw the sofa standing there right away, exactly in this arrangement. We were actually sold immediately.” They chose bank Eva with a long chair in the fabric Rhythm Liver 10. The generous sofa looks spacious and comfortable without being too massive, exactly what they were looking for. And the reactions show this as well. “We have received so many compliments from family and friends about our interior. Especially about the unique fabrics, but also about the sofa: large and comfortable, yet perfectly proportioned to the room.”

A favorite place for everyone

The living room is a place where Soraya and Remy spend a lot of time together. Especially in the evenings, when they snuggle up on the couch together for a movie. ’The lounge area is really our spot. Sometimes it’s just a bit of a battle over who gets to sit down first.“ Yet, the dining room turns out to be perhaps their most beloved spot in the house. From here, there is a view of the outside and an overview of the home. There, dining chairs have Bowie have been given a prominent place. The Bowie dining chairs are upholstered in Coco Wood 108 fabric with brass-colored legs and, together with the armchair, form Adèle Twist in the Coco Army 14 fabric and the matching pouf, a perfect set.

Although the house already exudes a lot of warmth and personality, Soraya and Remy are not quite finished yet. “We still want to have custom cabinets made, renovate the staircase, and add art to the walls.” But one thing is certain: the foundation of their dream interior is already in place. And that foundation? They enjoy it every day.
