Jenny’s interior continues to evolve, so it was high time to pay her another visit. Over the past few years, we have seen her interior change steadily, and this time, too, there is plenty new to discover. Her recognizable warm Japandi style still forms the foundation, but with new furniture, materials, and accessories, Jenny continues to refresh her interior.
Warmth and minimalism
Jenny lives in Hoef en Haag with her husband and son, where she has created an interior in which warmth and minimalism come together. Her interior style is best described as warm Japandi: a calm base is combined with natural materials, soft shapes, and warm earth tones.
Although the base is calm, Jenny enjoys continuing to vary the styling in her home. Different textures, accessories, and warm brown tones give the interior a slightly different look time and again. “I like to change things up with accessories every now and then. This keeps the interior fresh, without having to change everything immediately.”
At the same time, she considers cohesion important. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are connected. By repeating colors and materials in various places, the spaces flow beautifully into one another.
The eye-catcher in the living room
In the living room, you can't do without a modular sofa. Emanuelle over. The bench is made of Cosmo Silver Cream 115 and forms a calm base in the room with its light color. At the same time, the rounded shapes and striking seams give the sofa its own character.
Jenny was enthusiastic about the model from the very first moment. “What appeals to me most is the look of the sofa: the rounded shapes and seams make it just a little different.” The choice of the light, melange fabric also fits well with her interior. The subtle color variations in the fabric complement the different beige and brown tones in the living room beautifully.
A bank that evolves
An extra nice detail: the Emanuelle It hasn't remained quite the same since our last visit. Jenny has since expanded the sofa with an extra element, creating even more seating space. The generous arrangement fits beautifully with the open living room and makes the seating area extra inviting.
Jenny really appreciates the ability to move the different elements around. For example, the ottoman is used both freestanding in the room and against the sofa. “What I like about the sofa is that we can adjust the arrangement. With the extra element, we have more seating space, making the seating area truly complete now,” she says.
A renovated kitchen and dining area
The renovated kitchen and dining area also perfectly complement Jenny's warm interior style. The kitchen has been given a calm, minimalist look and blends beautifully with the rest of the interior thanks to the use of color and materials. The warm wall color in the dining area creates an atmospheric contrast with the light kitchen.
The dining chair stands around the dark dining table. Xavi from Gusj, made in the fabric Cayenne Shell 196. The light, mottled fabric pairs beautifully with the soft tones we also see in the living room. The black legs, on the other hand, provide a modern touch and complement the dark dining table and other black details in the house.
The appearance of the chairs was not the only factor in the choice. Comfort was also very important. The rounded backrest and comfortable seat make the chairs perfect for lingering at the table with family and friends.
From the spacious seating area to the renovated kitchen and dining area: every room has its own unique character, while the warm Japandi style continues to reappear throughout.
