We are visiting the unique home of Charon. She lives with her husband Jasper and their two sons in Dodewaard. Corner sofa Annabelle has been given a nice spot in the interior!
FROM OLD SCHOOL TO HOME
Charon and her family embarked on the adventure of transforming an old school building into a home 2 ½ years ago. They immediately started the renovation. “We did everything ourselves, with the help of all the lovely people around us. We made the building completely habitable and decorated it to our own taste, but we are not quite finished yet,” says Charon. “Our style is a mix of industrial, rural, rustic and sober. Just like with the renovation, we try to come up with everything ourselves with the interior and the furnishings! The colours, the combinations and the products. We deliberately kept the base calm, so we can easily change the style if we ever want to.” We are completely impressed; the atmosphere in the house is very homely and special. It really is a picture!
ON THE BENCH HUNT
Next to the lovely kitchen with beautiful dining room chairs Milo by Gusj (in the Oasis Natural 01 fabric), Charon is most pleased with the wonderful corner sofa Annabelle! Charon is happy to tell you more about this: “We went from a dilapidated building to a house and therefore did not have a sofa in the house for a year and a half, so a nice corner sofa was a welcome addition to the interior! We went on a sofa hunt and visited several furniture stores. We had already seen the Annabelle and eventually bought it at Room108 Zwolle. The size of the sofa immediately appealed to us. This way we can sit on it comfortably with the whole family, for example on a Sunday afternoon together!” Charon and her husband chose the fabric Block in the color Liver 10. Which was a surprising choice, because they normally often go for dark and black. “We are very happy that we chose this fabric. It is a beautiful warm color, with which you can go in all directions in terms of interior style,” says Charon enthusiastically. It is very nice to see the Annabelle sofa and Milo chairs together in this unique interior, because the items all match each other perfectly.
COMPLETING THE PROJECT
Do Charon and her family have any special interior wishes? Of course, they want to finish the renovation of the old school building! “That is the goal we are working towards, but the road to get there is already very special. Because we do not have a super tight schedule, it is very relaxed.” We wish them much success and fun building!
