We were allowed to take a look inside Marly's home. Together with her husband and 2 young sons, she lives in a trendy new-build neighborhood in Boxtel. Read on quickly and get a look inside their 14.2 meter long living room where several Room108 furniture pieces have been given a beautiful place.
BEIGE COLORS & RICH MATERIALS
Marly and her family moved to their dream home 3 months ago. “We were looking for a place with more space and that is ready for the future,” says Marly. “Because it is a new-build house, we were able to make all the decisions for the interior ourselves.”
How did Marly put it all together? She likes to tell us; “I just really enjoy doing it and I already knew exactly what I wanted. I am a bit trend-sensitive, which is why I was inspired by the range that you see everywhere now. I was also in a phase where I had everything beige. For example, all my clothes were beige. So it was an easy choice to go for beige for our interior as well.” Marly knew right away that she wanted to go for a calm base this time, so they went looking for light colours for all the large elements. They also stayed far away from the colour black and instead went for dark brown. “Then we can always choose a striking colour for the accessories if we feel like it, because we can easily change it again if we get tired of it.”
“Despite everything being neutral colours, I really like structures and rich fabrics,” says Marly. This is also reflected in the furniture and wallpaper, which immediately gives it a warm hotel chic look.
Bee Whoon they succeeded for almost all furniture. The couch, armchair and dining table from Room108 certainly steal the show. The real eye-catchers of the house, as Marly calls them herself. “Whoon is just a little bit different from other furniture stores we have been to. It is very nice that you have such a large selection at Whoon and that you can therefore purchase all items. This allowed us to easily match it together and that now creates unity in our house.”
A ROOM108 INTERIOR
The most important item in the living room for Marly and her family is the couch. That is the place where they like to sit together the most. That is why they were looking for a large couch where everyone can sit. With a large rug, so that you can sit comfortably with the cushions on the floor. Marly's son, Finn, likes to shout that he wants to jump on the couch with a snack board. Marly has chosen the Annabelle upholstered with fabric Snooze and color Natural 200.
“The couch is great! It really has the warm and soft look we were looking for. With lots of cushions. It is big but cozy. The left has really become my corner in the meantime. It is such a nice place with the table in between where I can put my wine and snacks. You no longer have to keep moving forward. Which is worse for the abdominal muscles,” Marly jokes afterwards. The table between the sofa is the inner bench closed from 110cm.
Marly also went for a beautiful armchair to finish off the seating area and create an extra seat. “My husband thought the armchair would not be used, so he actually thought it was a bit redundant. But now he uses it the most himself! For example, to read a book to Finn. And Finn loves to climb on the armchair.” The chosen armchair is ours Elle Twist upholstered with fabric Island and color Brown 15 with the matching Hocker Bubble Curve.
In addition, a Room108 dining table was chosen. The Danish Oval dining table is the Montpellier in the color Espresso with the Mikado leg in Anodic Bronze.
We are very curious whether Marly and her husband have any new interior plans in the future. Marly says; “The only thing I miss is a fireplace. We are still thinking about looking for a see-through fireplace.” With this, they are also looking forward to Christmas. Even the place for the Christmas tree has already been determined. “It will definitely be 2 Christmas trees!” says Marly determined.
We wish Marly and her family a lot of living pleasure!
