We are taking a peek inside Jessy and Stefan's rural and authentic, where they live together with their 2 children. The house is located in a completely renovated jenever distillery in Kuringen, Belgium and they have their own B&B here.
FROM RUIN TO AN ENTIRE HOUSE AND B&B
Arriving in Kuringen, we are immediately notably impressed. What a cool building this is! Also on the inside, after being hospitably welcomed by Jessy and Stefan, we have a hard time deciding where to look first. There are a lot of authentic details! “We bought this old jenever distillery from 1864 as a complete ruin, which has since been completely renovated and rebuilt. Our own living space was up first so it would be livable for us. After that we started with the B&B got started. Here we have four rooms and an attractive place to have breakfast, for example.” That's how Jessy tells enthusiastically and she shows us pictures of the process.
In the living room there is a real eye-catcher of a sofa, namely Room108 corner sofa Annabelle in a cool color. Jessy and Stefan won a full refund of the sofa's purchase amount in November 2022 by participating in our giveaway.
STYLING AND ART
“I like to keep busy with styling our house and the rooms in our B&B,” says Jessy. Stefan adds: “That's right, she really enjoys styling, sometimes she almost gets a little too enthusiastic and goes all out. We do decide a lot of things together.” The atmosphere and rural styling are very beautiful and unique! We also see some special art here and there. Jessy tells us more about this: “Stefan is an artist and we love modern art, such as special paintings for example.”
CORNER SOFA ANNABELLE
Besides one of the special paintings, the sofa is Jessy's favorite item. "Our corner sofa is so inviting, I sit there almost every evening reading a book or watching TV," says Jessy. Jessy and Stefan bought the sofa at Room108 Bonheiden. After seeing Room108 sofa Gigi upholstered with fabric Fusion Brandy on the internet, they visited the showroom to have a look. “The color wasn't quite what we were looking for in real life, but the fabric itself and its structure did appeal to us. We then opted for the Fusion in a different color, it was an exciting choice but it turned out really well!”, Stefan and Jessy both say enthusiastically. “We specifically chose this model because this sofa looks so inviting. And the lumbar cushions give you the option of sitting actively or lounging when you remove the cushions.” We think the sofa and the chosen fabric really match the authentic space and interior perfectly!
