Once you have decided to buy a new corner sofa, you will be faced with quite a few choices. A corner sofa is often available in different arrangements and with different elements. Do you want a sofa with a long chair? Or rather a sofa with an ottoman? You will know what to do with that question after reading this blog!
Choosing an ottoman or long chair
An ottoman and long chair are both elements with a longer foot end to lie comfortably on. The difference in these elements is in the backrests. A long chair has one backrest with often also an armrest (but that's not necessarily). Such an armrest is usually the same length as the armrest of the sofa of which this longchair is part. The name long chair actually says it all: a long chair. The seating element is, as it were, extended with a footstool attached to the sofa.
Corner sofa Carmen is an example of a corner sofa with a long chair:
An ottoman, on the other hand, has two backrests. So you still keep the angle here which makes it possible to sit or lie down comfortably, but you also create extra seats because the backrest continues.
Our corner sofa Noelle is an example of a corner sofa with an ottoman:
Are you really unable to choose between an ottoman and a long chair? Then just opt for 'the best of both worlds' and go for both! This creates a U-shape arrangement and lots of seating space. For example at our corner sofa Annabelle Square.
