We are allowed to look inside Manuela's modern home. Manuela lives with her husband, two sons and four-legged friend Freek.

Interior styling as a hobby

Manuela has lived in their current home for 7 years. ''We built the house together with a contractor so that we could build it completely to our own taste and wishes. We wanted a large kitchen at the front since we live in the kitchen a lot during the day. In the evenings we can mainly be found on the couch in the living room,” Manuela explains the layout of their house.

"I don't really have any hobbies, but I'm mainly busy with my house." We think that can certainly be seen! ''I get inspiration from interior design magazines, but I also enjoy going to furniture stores and walk around. I always enjoy watching home decorating programs for some inspiration as well. Besides that I also use Pinterest a lot, which really is my biggest inspirational friend!”, Manuela says. Manuela enjoys working on other people's interiors as well. ''Sometimes I also help other people when they want to renovate or decorate. Most people want to have the same style as mine which of course is quite a compliment!''

Modern Japandi

Manuela also really likes change in her interior. "When my mother-in-law comes to visit there are always new accessories in the house," Manuela says. ''I find it difficult to describe my own interior style because it is not industrial. I recently came across something about Japandi interior and that actually describes my interior exactly!''.

The quest for a new sofa

Manuela bought her Room108 sofa at Whoon in Oisterwijk. ''We already had a Room108 sofa before this, but it was very different compared to the one we have now. Our old sofa was dark and had legs, which I found less cozy,” Manuela says. When they bought a new sofa, Manuela quickly had something in mind: “I wanted a sofa that looked nice and cozy in a light color.” Manuela ultimately opted for the Annabelle corner sofa with an intermediate element upholstered with the fabric Silent Cream 02. And she is very satisfied with it! “I love these types of sofas, a bit plumpy and nice and cozy. The sofa is also nice and big, exactly what we need because it can be quite busy in the house sometimes,” Manuela laughs.

Manuela also receives a lot of comments about the sofa and we don't think that is surprising as the sofa matches the interior beautifully. "Friends of ours also wanted a new sofa so I sent them to one of your stores."
