We get to take a peek inside Niek's apartment in Eindhoven. The apartment has a sturdy and hotel chic appearance.

ALL THOUGHT UP BY HIMSELF

The apartment that Niek bought a year ago belonged to his grandfather. “I emptied the apartment and renovated everything together with my father. There is a new floor and everything has been painted. I already had an image in my head of what the interior should look like. For inspiration, I looked a lot on social media and visited several home deco stores. In the end it was quite exciting to see whether everything would fit together, but I am very happy with the end result!”, Niek laughs.

STURDY AND MODERN WITH GOLDEN DETAILS

Niek's interior is sturdy and modern, the golden details give the interior a hotel chic touch. “I think Eric Kuster's style is very cool, but not for my own apartment. It's just too much kitsch and shine, but its golden details are reflected." You can definitely tell that Niek enjoys doing interior design. And he isn't the only one. “My girlfriend likes to think along. I got the black coral in the cupboard and the Supreme book on the table from her and I think they are very cool items.”

THE PERFECT SOFA

Niek bought Corner Sofa Annabelle at the store in Eindhoven. “I already knew that I wanted an L-shape setup because it fits the space best. The sofa looks spacious and open because the lounge area is on the window side. When I saw this model in the store, I was immediately sold!” Niek opted for the fabric Adore Clay 87. “I already had in mind what kind of fabric I wanted. This happened to be a new fabric so I thought that was extra special.” Niek shares that he is still very satisfied with the sofa. “Really a very nice sofa. The fabric is soft and the cushions are wonderful.”

INTERIOR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

Niek has two more projects planned for the future. The kitchen is still his grandfather's old kitchen, which he would like to renovate. The second project he wants to tackle is the hallway. “It now is a white empty hallway that I would really like to turn into an eye-catcher, since it's the place where people come in,” Niek says. We're convinced this will certainly succeed as it's gorgeous already!
